I recall it as a frightening although exciting experience, for of course that girl was myself, little Shona Dunlop from New Zealand.”

After the annexation of Austria, Gertrud Bodenwieser gathered together some of her dancers and fled the country. They embarked on a tour of South America which lasted 10 months. Below is Shona’s scrapbook from that period
